Pelican 1170 inserts.
Arrange supported gear in the Pelican 1170 insert profile and export a custom STL for your own slicing and printing workflow.
Know the insert dimensions
| Insert | Width × length × depth |
|---|---|
| Base Layer | 271 × 156 × 53 mm |
These measurements come from the same case models used by the designer. They describe digital geometry, not a measured fit tolerance or a guarantee of the finished print.
A narrow, single-layer layout
The Pelican 1170 profile has one editable insert. Its 271 × 156 mm footprint is longer and narrower than the Glock Factory Case profile, with a 53 mm model depth. Use Planning view to inspect spacing and clearances as you rotate and arrange gear. This profile is specific to the 1170, not the wider Pelican range.
Use the Case menu to select Pelican 1170. Switching cases replaces the current layout after confirmation when gear is present. Your current design is saved in this browser; there is no cloud library of designs.
Choose a matching gear profile
The shared library currently includes G17 Gen5, G17 Gen5 MOS, G17 Gen6 Standard, G19 Gen5 Compact, G19 Gen5 MOS Compact, G19 Gen5 A-CUT, G19 Gen6 Compact, G43X MOS Subcompact, G48 MOS Compact, G45 Gen5, G45 Gen5 MOS, G45 Gen6 Compact, G45 Gen5 A-CUT, G49 Gen6 Standard. Check the exact variant, attachments, and placement in the designer. Library availability does not establish physical compatibility with every case or layout.
You can move and rotate gear, undo changes, and switch between perspective and planning views. The tool checks placement against the case outline; it does not certify printer tolerances or the physical result.
Plan the print
Check the 271 mm width against your slicer’s usable print area. If a rotated model still does not fit with the required clearance, split it in the slicer. Inspect walls, cutout floors, and any added joints in the layer preview before committing to the full print.
Physical print validation is still in progress. Choose a material for your intended conditions, inspect the sliced layers, and test fit before relying on the finished insert. No universal filament, support setting, or friction-fit guarantee applies to every layout.
