About StashGrid.
StashGrid is a small, independent project: a browser designer for 3D-printable case inserts, free to use today. Noel builds the software and Andrew handles the 3D printing and the gear models.
Why it exists
Pick-and-pluck foam falls apart, custom foam takes weeks, and designing an insert in CAD means an evening with calipers before you print anything. Plenty of gun owners already own a 3D printer. What was missing was a way to get from “this case, this pistol, these magazines” to a printable file without the modelling.
So StashGrid starts from models of the case and the gear instead of photos and measurements. That makes it fast for what it supports and useless for what it doesn’t, which is why the list of cases is short and growing slowly.
Who we are
Noel Tock builds the designer. Andrew handles the 3D printing and models the gear profiles in the library.
What we have and haven’t verified
We have three case profiles, a library of Glock-family gear models, and one printed insert for the Glock factory case. We haven’t published measured fit tests or impact tests yet. How it works spells out what the designer checks and what it doesn’t.
